Chef Holden Dahlerbruch has been cooking since the age of four. He has made food a central part of his life. He and his family hosted a boys cooking club for friends where they were taught technique, flavors, and food history. Later, he had the opportunity to star in the FYI Network's Man Vs Child: Chef Showdown which skyrocketed his passion for the culinary arts. Now, as a teenager, Holden strives for success in his trade and high school.

Fresh Berry Triffle

Depending on the size of the bowl you might need to make a few recipes


Sponge cake

  1. 4 large eggs
  2. 1 large egg yolk
  3. 1/3 cup sifted cake flour
  4. 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  5. 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  6. 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  7. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  8. 1/4 cup cream of tartar
